Using Your LinkedIn Page As A Sales Funnel

As with any other social media platform, LinkedIn is becoming another sly way to sell products, services and almost anything else you can imagine. Although it sometimes feels like you are bombarded with meaningless messages crowding your inbox, there are still a few useful tricks we can use to make selling through LinkedIn an option.

1. Select Your Target

You want to avoid sending out tons of messages indiscriminately to anyone who makes a connection with you. The smartest strategy here is to use searches to find your most likely buyer. Searching by location, industry, job title, and a few other filters can make a difference in finding the right people with which to connect. It is targeting your warmest audience, and it is well worth the time it takes.

2. Use Groups

Posting interesting and useful content and plugging your product or service here and there is an excellent way to generate interest in what you are selling subtly. Avoid being outright direct when posting in groups, but actively participate in ones that have a definite relation to what you are offering. People searching for your particular product will certainly not mind hearing about it; although, if you invade a group that has nothing to do with what you are trying to sell, people will undoubtedly be turned off.

3. Send Messages For Lead Generation

A strategy that seems to work well is having short, well written, explicit messages that outline who you are, what you are offering, and why they as customers should choose you over the competition. Having three short messages that include a friendly greeting, your contact info, and to the point product or service details, can quickly generate some great leads for you.

4. Have an Awesome Profile

So, no matter what the first point of contact may have been, whether it be through a message or by posting in a group, the potential client will inevitably come to land on your profile. They want to check out who you are and make a final decision about buying into what you are selling. Here it is fundamental that you have everything set to close the sale.

5. Use Links and Media

Make sure to make your messages and posts attractive by adding more than text. Pictures, videos, and links to your website can help to fill in any doubts about what you are offering while keeping it relaxed and exciting. Let’s not forget that video is the new tendency, and it would be a huge mistake not to include this type of media throughout your LinkedIn activity. It also provides an opportunity for more reach which is what we desire. People can easily share your video post and are much more likely to engage than compared with only texts.

As with any other social media platform, organic growth is essential. You become more relatable and valued on LinkedIn by sharing, tagging, and liking posts. People will enjoy having you in their network, and it will no doubt reflect in the sales you make through this platform.
