#1 Consistent Presence

#2 Post at the Right Time

There are certain times of the day when Twitter users are most active. The latest research show that the best time to post on Twitter is:

  • Friday 9-10 AM.
  • Everyday 10 AM to noon.
  • The least amount of engagement is received on Sunday mornings.
  • The best day to post on Twitter is Friday.

You can find it out yourself by testing out different times for posting. When your posts are getting most retweets, comments, and likes, that is a good sign. Next, take a look at your competitors’ Twitter accounts to see when they usually tweet. Some of the higher engagements occur on Saturday afternoons, while it also goes high into the night every day (except Monday.) Friday is thought to be popular because students and workers are checking it out before the weekend.

#3 Don’t Post Too Frequently

Besides figuring out the right times to post, you should be careful not to post too many posts per day. Posting a Tweet every 10 minutes is too much, and better believe that your followers will start unfollowing you very quickly. The optimal number of Tweets per day should be kept at 2-3. Avoid filling up people’s feed with your posts, or you’ll quickly run out of quality content to post and start annoying your audience.

#4 Step Your Hashtag Game Up

What do people do to find information on a product or service? The will search for it via Twitter’s search engine. It is where hashtags bring attention to the terms users search because it makes it visible to them. What are the most used hashtags for your products? These are the hashtags you’ll want to use. Use the search bar to find hashtags on Twitter, look through the trending topics page or click on the hashtag.

You can create your brand hashtag that will help people find your posts (as long as your profile is set to “public.”) Tweets with one hashtag are the most engaging, and the engagement decreases if you use more than two. One explanation is that people think that too many hashtags are a sign of desperation or foul play by bots.

Why is it important to boost brand awareness? Well, it’s the first step towards making more sales and scaling up. It is what holds your marketing campaigns together.
